A Hidden Retreat in the Mountains

Meirekikan is a traditional Japanese house built in the late Edo period.

Carefully preserved through the Meiji, Taisho, and Showa eras,
the house has been thoughtfully restored to welcome guests today.

Located high in the mountains of Tenri, Nara,
the area stays 2–3°C cooler than Nara City during summer,
earning it the nickname “the Karuizawa of Nara.”

Escape the noise of the city
and enjoy the quiet beauty of the mountains throughout the seasons.
